The website and its scope

The website introduces assistance with employer sponsorship, work visas, partner visa applications and related migration enquiries. It is intended to help visitors identify the support they want to discuss. The Australian website is separate from the international website linked in the footer.

The website’s form sends an enquiry to Australia Legal and creates an enquiry record. It does not appoint an adviser, take payment or reserve a consultation. Selecting a service link does not confirm eligibility for a visa or acceptance as a client.

The business uses the name Australia Legal. Before agreeing to professional services, you should receive the identity and contact details of the provider, the responsible adviser and the scope of the proposed engagement.

Information is not individual advice

General website content cannot assess your employment, business, relationship, immigration history or deadlines. It is not individual migration or legal advice, an offer of a particular visa outcome or a substitute for advice about your circumstances.

Migration requirements and government processes can change. Check information relevant to your circumstances with the responsible professional and the appropriate authority before acting. Do not rely on a general page to decide whether you can remain, work or travel, or whether an application or review deadline can be missed.

Australian authorities make visa and related government decisions. A service can assist with preparation and representation within the scope agreed, but cannot guarantee approval, processing times, employment, an employer or a sponsor. This does not excuse a provider from supplying the service with the care and skill required by law.

Enquiries, consultations and engagement

Browsing, following a link or sending an enquiry does not by itself appoint Australia Legal or an adviser to act for you. You need confirmation of the work accepted, the responsible provider and any applicable fees. Do not assume a deadline is being monitored or an application is being lodged until the relevant responsibility has been agreed.

Before booking a consultation, the appointment type, duration, price or free introductory offer, if any, and the booking conditions should be explained. The appropriate appointment depends on the enquiry. No consultation price, free entitlement or booking availability is created by these website terms.

Ongoing immigration assistance requires a separate service agreement where applicable law requires one. Registered migration agents have specific agreement obligations and an exception for initial consultations under the Code of Conduct. These website terms do not replace those requirements or extend a limited consultation into full application representation.

An engagement should identify the services included, exclusions, client instructions, fees, disbursements and arrangements for ending the work. Different or additional work requires an appropriate agreement or variation; a later website update does not silently expand an existing engagement.

Fees, payment and third-party charges

Fees, currency, taxes and payment timing must be disclosed and agreed for the relevant appointment or engagement. Ask for an explanation of an amount you do not understand before authorising payment. These website terms do not impose a deposit, minimum term, late charge or cancellation penalty.

Government application charges, assessments, translations, medical examinations and other third-party costs may be separate from professional fees. Whether a cost applies, its amount and who receives it should be explained before you authorise the expense, subject to any lawful arrangements in the service agreement.

The current website does not take payment or establish a subscription or recurring charge. No automatic renewal is created by browsing or submitting an enquiry. If a separate payment or ongoing arrangement is proposed, its amount, timing and conditions need to be agreed before it begins.

Changes, cancellations and refunds

If you need to change or cancel an appointment or ongoing work, contact the provider as soon as possible using the contact details supplied for that service. Any ordinary notice period or commercial cancellation charge must come from the terms actually disclosed and agreed.

Where a provider cannot supply an agreed appointment or service, it should explain the available rescheduling, refund or other remedy appropriate to the circumstances and applicable law. A matter may require payment for work properly performed or an authorised third-party cost, but this does not automatically make every amount non-refundable.

Rights under the Australian Consumer Law cannot be excluded by a no-refunds label, a website disclaimer or a service agreement. Where consumer guarantees apply, services must meet the applicable standards, including due care and skill. Remedies depend on the nature of a failure and can include correction, cancellation, a refund or compensation. Change-of-mind cancellation is a separate question from those statutory remedies.

Ending an engagement does not remove applicable duties about returning documents, handling client funds or retaining records. The responsible professional should explain the consequences for the matter, including work that another representative may need to take over.

Your information and instructions

Provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge, explain relevant uncertainties and promptly correct an error you discover. Tell the responsible adviser about changes that may affect work already agreed, including contact details, employment, relationships or government correspondence.

Do not provide false documents, conceal relevant facts or ask anyone to mislead an authority. The provider may need to decline instructions it cannot lawfully follow. This does not permit arbitrary termination or remove any notice, refund, document-return or other duty required by the engagement or law.

If you act for a business or another person, have authority for the instructions and information you provide. Paying for another person’s service does not automatically authorise you to instruct their adviser, obtain their confidential information or determine their application. The roles of employers, workers, partners and representatives need to be established for the engagement.

Privacy and confidential material

Read the privacy policy for the handling of personal information and privacy requests. Acceptance of website-use terms is not blanket consent to marketing, sensitive-data processing or unrestricted disclosure.

Do not send passports, medical records, police certificates or detailed relationship evidence through a general enquiry channel. Ask the team about the appropriate method for documents needed for an agreed matter. The website form is not a document submission channel.

Applicable confidentiality duties continue to apply to professional services. These website terms do not authorise disclosure to a sponsor, employer, partner or other third party merely because they are associated with the matter.

Permitted use and website materials

You may read the website and keep reasonable copies for your own information or genuine internal business consideration. Website text, design, logos and other materials remain subject to the rights of their respective owners. No transfer of intellectual property is created by access to the website.

Do not present the materials as your own professional advice, republish them commercially without permission, misuse another person’s information, distribute malicious software, try to access restricted systems or interfere with the website’s operation. This does not restrict uses permitted by law.

If there is a genuine security or misuse concern, access may be restricted to the extent reasonably necessary to address it. A restriction on website access does not, by itself, cancel professional services or remove accrued rights under an existing agreement.

Other websites and availability

Links to government information, social profiles or the international website are provided for their stated purpose. Those destinations may have different content, privacy arrangements, services and fees. Following a link does not establish that their terms have been accepted or that Australia Legal guarantees every external statement.

The website may be unavailable or contain an error. Report a problem through the contact below. Do not use website availability as a reason to delay contacting your responsible adviser or an authority about an urgent matter. These website terms do not promise uninterrupted access or extend a government deadline.

Consumer rights and responsibility

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a right, guarantee or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. This includes any applicable Australian Consumer Law rights and responsibility that the law does not allow a provider to avoid.

Responsibility for a loss depends on the applicable law, the work agreed and the circumstances. Any separate service agreement must also respect your mandatory rights.

Complaints, applicable law and changes

For a website question or complaint, contact [email protected]. Explain the issue and the outcome sought without including unnecessary sensitive documents. For professional work, also use the complaint contact and process in the relevant service agreement.

If a complaint concerns a registered migration agent, the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (opens in a new tab) provides information about professional standards and complaint options. Privacy complaints have the route described in the privacy policy. These processes do not remove rights to contact a consumer regulator, obtain independent advice or bring a claim through an available court or tribunal.

Applicable Australian law governs these website-use terms, together with any mandatory laws that apply to you or the relevant transaction. These terms do not select an exclusive court or require you to give up a forum or protection that the law provides. A separate service agreement should state the law relevant to that engagement without removing mandatory consumer rights.

Changes to website-use terms should carry a revised date and apply prospectively to later use or arrangements, to the extent permitted by law. A revised webpage does not retrospectively change an accepted service agreement, introduce a charge or waive an existing right. Keep a copy of any terms or agreement you accept for a paid service.
